One important piece of information to consider is that Platinum Music Services is a member of the Canadian Disc Jockey Association. as well as a registered Connect Music Licensing agent. How is this important you may be asking. Platinum Music is licensed to replay recorded music at your function, based on Canadian copyright laws, it is illegal to play music and charge a fee without having this license. Based on other provinces and some local venues that have followed suit, soon we will see that every venue will require that all subcontractors (music) will have to produce a connect license and liability insurance or not be allowed to enter their establishment. This is one especially important thing to consider when booking your entertainment. Are they fully licensed and are they fully insured? It is one thing to say you are, but can the vendor supply a copy of the connect license and insurance, If not, this could be a red flag and thus they may not be allowed into the said venue come your big day. Is this worth the chance to take? This is one reason why Platinum Music charges what we do as we are fully licensed and insured.
